Bill,

I'd like to know how thick (deep) you like your inlay wood before it's in place and leveled. The same for the solid wood portions of your rosette. Thanks!
To an extent it varies depending on what I'm inlaying into and what the design is. It's not something that I really measure...I just kind of get it to where I want it and say...OK that looks right. But I would say that it will vary somewhere between 1-2 mm.

Bill -- I am a little late here, but that is incredibly original work especially offsetting all the inlay to the left -- I really like it.

Question, how are you going to protect the wood inlay on the fretboard?

The inlay in the fretboard is Koa and if it were larger inlays I would consider using some stabilized material ...but this is actually small surface area so I soaked it with CA into the pores of the wood as much as possible. I think it will wear OK.

Thanks, Bill. So do you route at .5-1mm?

Very beautiful Bill. It is so nice to see a true artist's work.

Bill,

Yet another brilliantly designed and executed guitar. I need a thesaurus to compliment you! Let's see... synonyms for WOW!
